Why does it always seem to snow for events like this? That or it's bone-chilling cold. But yesterday into this morning, nearly a foot of snow dumped its way onto Chicago. That's a wee bit of snow in a city like this. You end up with canyons cut into the piles of snow on the sidewalk by snowblowers (well, those people nice enough to blow/shovel their sidewalks admittedly, otherwise you trudge through the drifts yourself).
