Really, it's just not worth the headache. I've had sound working for quite a while, basic sound playback is a breeze just like it should be on todays Linux, but only one sound event at a time. I've got multiple sound events working at a time now, but only with Alsa. I know I can force OSS and Esd stuff over Alsa, I'm just going to have to figure out how. UT2K4 sounds great when it works right, the surround sound even works. Unfortunately the sound plays back at about 50% speed 7 out of 10 software... read more
