I'd like people to read Chip's very interesting entry on the multitude and variations of truth. I was going to reply to the entry in the form of a comment but since I have quite a bit to say about the topic, I decided to make my own entry. I agree with Chip. Truth is not a single entity. I also love animals and would do anything to stop their suffering and pain. I just do not believe that this legislation will do that.  Instead, the irresponsible owners that let their dogs/cats produce litters will stop taking the puppies/kittens to the shelter for adoption and instead turn them loose on the street so as to avoid being detected. (just like stopping Rabies vaccinations and not taking their pets to veterinarians for health care as I previously mentioned) One of my most hated entities...
